Have time to take part in the International Youth Contest “Marine Heritage of Russia”!

Schoolchildren, cadets and students from Russia, CIS and foreign countries aged 14 to 20 years can take part in the International Youth Historical and Educational Competition “Marine Heritage of Russia”, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 100th anniversary The exodus of the Black Sea Fleet squadron from the Crimea and Sevastopol ("Russian Exodus"), as well as a number of anniversary dates in the history of the Russian fleet.

The competition takes place in two stages: the qualifying stage and the final. The first stage has already started; by June 1, the finalists in six categories will be determined. Participants are already sending their work to the organizing committee - recordings with songs, drawings, photographs, research papers, essays and essays, recordings with songs.

Finalists will become participants in the Morfest Maritime Youth Festival, the bulk of which will take place on board the ship on September 2-5 in St. Petersburg, and then the guys will have a week-long journey from St. Petersburg to Moscow with stops in Kizhi, Petrozavodsk, Cherepovets, Uglich, Yaroslavl and other cities. During the cruise, participants will enjoy intellectual games, conferences, workshops, meetings with prominent cultural figures and people who have made a special contribution to the development of the modern fleet.

Finalists and winners of the competition will be awarded with special prizes and invited to participate in the most significant events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 100th anniversary of the “Russian Exodus”, planned in 2020 in St. Petersburg, Sevastopol, Crimea and Bizert ( Tunisia).

The competition is supported by the Federation Council, Rossotrudnichestvo, the Manstein-Shirinskaya Foundation for the Preservation of Historical and Cultural Heritage. The operator of the competition is the Russian-Tunisian Business Council.

The competition is aimed at developing citizenship and patriotism among young people, creating a socially active position, preserving cultural, moral and historical values, internationally positioning the positive image of Russia as a great sea power through joint creativity, research and scientific activity.
