International Mother Language Day

On February 21, the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Addis Ababa took part in the celebration of the International Mother Language Day, organized by the UNESCO office in Ethiopia.

The event was held at Addis Ababa University. Among the guests of honor at the gala evening were the representative of UNESCO in Ethiopia, Dr. Yumiko Yokozeki, President of the University of Addis Ababa Tassew Woldehanna, representatives of diplomatic missions, staff of the UNESCO office in Ethiopia and others.

The Russian side was represented by a teacher of Russian language courses at the RCSC Almaz Gebremeskel, who recited a poem by the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin "I loved you."
